so today we begin. we acknowledge the difficulty involved in communal efforts, but we also acknowledge that we are part of a community. and that we affect others by our thoughts and actions. for better or for worse...
hey everybody. I like all the ideas. Are we still trying to make a list of collaborative projects? If so...here's a couple: 1) selection of hand-made instruments ( I like to call them sound making sculptures (sms))...With these SMS, we could record a song(S). 2) Make some sort of sculpture/structure out of handmade paper from all of our retired jeans.
As for California. I would prefer SF but for the most part I'm indifferent. However, I don't want to be the Devils advocate, but I would rather focus on our time here as a class creating quality art together than get too tied up in the logistics of getting to California. I have a little trepidation about going to CAL. If it compliments our artistic goals, sure I think it's a good idea. Howver, I just don't want us to overlook the value of staying local and maximizing our time/money . ....just some thoughts..
