in the end, was it worth it?

so, with some foresight, would l.a. or s.f. be a worthwhile trip? we can discuss this more thoroughly on wednesday, but at this time i'd like to take a survey on who is interested and which you prefer.

  1. Let's go on a trip! I'm up for either one, but prefer LA since I've been to SF a bunch and want to go to the museum of Jurassic Technology!

  2. I am interested in a trip to either LA or SF, I do agree that LA would suck up much time in commuting from place to place. Although, with a clipboard of fun and a well organized agenda LA might be ok.

  3. as of now, i'm up for either. i think both would be fun and worthwhile. and we would definitely have to have a solid agenda. l.a. would require more funding for a van/petrol/parking. can't wait to figure it out so we can start to plan...

  4. I think San Fran would be better for petrol reasons, and I can just see all of us cruzin around on trollys (imagine Mike wavin' to the city hangin off a trolly with a big smile on his face-postcard material).- I think for time restrictions we can get more done.
    I am open to both.

  7. I would like to go to L.A. It seems like a little more work but I think it will be worth it. But if we go in the middle of the semester, due to time, I think S.F. would be a better choice.

  8. For what it is worth, I could be up for S.F. but not really interested in L.A.

  9. I think LA would be best for me personally just to experience it. I've been to SF a lot. Chuck Moffit would be a great artist to chat with and see.

  10. Also, here's the list of ideas for collectives we had:

    "Organize show" team
    24 hour slumber party challenge
    paired collaboration
    Sound collaborative
    30 minute/week.
    Quilting Bee
    Sharing Time

I suggest we keep adding to these and then try to categorize them on Wednesday. Does anyone know how to post directly to this blog rather than just commenting all the time?

  11. I vote for LA because I've been planning on going there this semester (or early summer) so it would be great if that is where the class ended up going. I have a friend that lives in Venice Beach that I was planning on staying with for a week or so and wanted to do a number of things out there- including the Museum of Jurassic Technology. (I also might be a part of an exhibition in LA sometime this summer but don't know for sure yet.)
